We <3 The Kings in Zurich! (28 April 2012 – Day 244)

Three WTK concerts in 1 month.  Best idea ever!

This past Saturday (28 April 2012) Pauli and I drove to Zurich to see them in concert again.  It was part of Loudfest and held in Komplex No. 457.  We left Lugano at around 09:40 and had a really pleasant sunny drive in our rented red convertable SmartCar.  Just the drive there was magical.  We arrived in Zurich and parked around 13:00, and headed over to the venue where we waited with some other concert-goers/Simple Plan fans until the doors opened and we were allowed inside.  Before the concert, WTK did walk by and Pauli got a high-five from Danny.

The concert itself was amazingly great as always.  However, Travis’ universal song joke stops being funny after the first time. ;P  After WTK performed, Pauli and I wondered around for a while going outside for air, listening to Zebrahead, and waiting for Scooter to be at the merch table so that he could give me my poster back.  At around 20:00 Pauli and I decided that we should leave and start our 2.5hr drive back home to Lugano.  We were a little sad not to have had the oppurtunty to say hi to WTK like in Milan or Eckbolsheim.  As Pauli was putting the final period on her note, which we were going to leave on their van, Travis stepped out of the venue.

We talked with him for a while, Coley and Yoshi.  Pauli and I had the unique experience to just stand around there near the crew exit and talk to Such Gold and the other members of WTK.  It was really nice to just hangout with everyone.  I hope we didn’t seem too awkward.

We had a wonderful time, and if my NEVs (non-existant viewers) ever have the chance to see them DO IT.  It’s such a great show!  They’ll be in the States soon so buy tickets.  Warped Tour perhaps?

Apart from getting the parking ticket, I would do it all again in a second!
